I’ve driven across the U.S. more than 5 times and been around the world on planes and trains to New Zealand, Bali, Italy, the U.K. and more. And, in that time, I’ve found ways to dress totally uncomfortable while traveling and found the perfect travel outfits regardless of size. So, take advantage of my previous airplane discomfort and fashion mistakes, and shop this blog post to make your next adventure comfortable, functional and cute.

COMFRT Sets
Look, you’ve probably seen these sets on your Instagram feed before. They go HEAVY on the social media advertising, and I’ve had a lot of friends skeptically ask me if I like my COMFRT clothes. Yes. I. Do. Specifically, the travel outfits that includes extra pockets and features perfect for peak airplane coziness. And they go up to a size 3X, which fits a curvy gal like me nicely.

Airplane Mode Travel Hoodie – Comfrt
This Comfrt travel hoodie not only comes in cute colors (and black, if that’s more your thing). But it also has a built in eye mask to you can hide from the world and make up in your next favorite destination.
Airplane Mode Travel Sweatpants – Comfrt
The matching sweatpants make for the perfect travel outfit, featuring cargo pant-type pockets without the cargo pant feeling. The material is thick and comforting on both the sweatpants and sweatshirt. Aside from dog eating through the pockets to get to the leftover treat dust, my set has held up really well to regular use and washing.

Travel Essentials Zip Hoodie – Comfrt
And if you prefer something with a zipper, this is a great alternative with all the pockets, but no eye mask. Great for a travel outfit and for everyday wear. This also comes in a pullover style and in a variety of colors.
Wayre
If you’re sensing a theme in my favorite travel outfits, you’re not wrong. They all have pockets—lots of them. Because a girl on the move can’t be worried about passports falling out suddenly or finding their phone at the bottom of a backpack. Wayre really succeeds at pocket play whole also making their looks stylish for daily exploration. Plus the material they use offers sun protection and resists stains (so you can go eat the red sauce pasta in Italy, stress free).

Tie Front Button-Up Top & Matching Pants
A staple of my travels, especially when I’m going international, this set is great for days where I am on long journeys on trains and on foot. It doesn’t wrinkle. Doesn’t hold sweat. Looks cute. and has secret zip pockets to hold items like your passport that you can’t stand to lose.
Roma Reversible Wrap Dress
This dress gives you the comfort (4-way stretch) mixed with function. You can wear it more conservatively with a high neckline as show, or make it sexier by spinning it around for a classic wrap-dress v-neck. It’s stain resistant and offers 30 UPF sun protection, so you can stroll the streets of exotic places comfortable from day to night. Oh, and it also has secret passport pockets so you can keep your valuables safe.

Spanx

Spanx AirEssentials Half Zip
Soft, but light this half-zip feels like luxury. It’s Spanx, so there’s a price tag, but it’s also built to last. It’s a great layer for a flight, but you won’t overheat. It goes up to size 3X and comes in a range of colors. You can match it with leggings (my favorite option) or a favorite of other AirEssentials pants for optimal comfort.
Spanx Shape BootyBoost 7/8 Leggings
These sit in that classic Spanx shape wear zone. Compression fit (though, don’t worry, you can still breathe) and a booty-boosting fit as the name implies. Pair this set with white sneakers and you’ll be stylish and ready to break a sweat running between gates (or tourist attractions).
