Everything You Need to Know About The ROW Reno

What is The ROW Reno?

The ROW Reno calls itself a city within a city. Located in Downtown Reno, it’s 3 connected resorts —the El Dorado, Silver Legacy and Circus Circus—all of which you can access without setting foot outside. According to The ROW Reno website, it features 227,000 square feet of casino space with over 2,500 slot machines, 84 table games, and Reno’s only Topgolf Swing Suite. The ROW Reno also offers access to all that Downtown and Midtown Reno have to offer plus it’s an easy drive to Truckee and Lake Tahoe for outdoor adventure.

Who owns The ROW Reno?

The ROW Reno is owned by Caesars Entertainment, the same group that owns Caesars Palace down in Las Vegas. It is the largest gaming company in the U.S., and it all means you can take advantage of Caesars Rewards that you use and accrue at all their resorts.

Silver Legacy vs. El Dorado vs. Circus Circus

So, you’re coming to Reno, Nevada. You want a Downtown Reno experience with gaming, nightlife, dining and more. But which The ROW Reno resort should you choose?

Silver Legacy in Reno, Nevada

The Silver Legacy sits in the middle of The ROW Reno and is the most modern of the three resorts with newly renovated rooms. Reaching 42 floors high, the Silver Legacy features 5 restaurants (including Ruth’s Chris Steak House), 6 bars and lounges, a fabulous pool and a luxury spa experience. The Silver Legacy is also where you’ll find the Top Golf experience where you can play virtual reality games while you enjoy food and drinks.

El Dorado in Reno, Nevada

The El Dorado sits on the south end of The ROW Reno, closest to the iconic Reno sign on North Virginia Street. This is the place I usually go with my parents for dinner at Sushi Sake or cocktails at Roxy. In total, there are 9 bars and 9 restaurants in this portion of The Row. We’ve also been known to try our luck with $20 at the Wheel of Fortune machine because it’s our go-to place to gamble. The El Dorado also houses the Showroom, which features many great shows in an intimate setting.

Circus Circus in Reno, Nevada

If I am being honest, I haven’t stayed at the Circus Circus since I was a teenager, visiting Reno for a gymnastic meet. But this portion of The ROW Reno is the perfect place for kids with a carnival and 40 arcade-style games. True to its name, you can even catch circus acts at the northern resort in The ROW Reno.

The good news is: remember that no matter where you stay, you have easy access to all the amenities of The ROW Reno.

My Favorite Restaurants in The ROW Reno

Roxy

When you want a more upscale experience with lounge vibes, Roxy is your spot. Grab a martini at the bar while you listen to live music or make a reservation for a white table cloth dinner with excellent service. It’s great for special occasions (we went for my mom’s birthday). Order from an awesome menu of prime rib, crab cakes, lobster and more. And as the El Dorado website says, “Roxy’s wait staff has a vast knowledge of fine wines and liquors and expert pastry chefs create scrumptious breads, soufflés, tarts, sorbets and more, in an exhibition bakery.”

Sushi Sake

If you haven’t heard, Reno has a lot of sushi. Seriously. All-You-Can-Eat sushi is everywhere and it’s good. This small and lesser-known sushi spot, Sushi Sake, in Reno serves up fresh nigiri and rolls. There’s a bar to sit at as well as a few small tables, but I’ve rarely had to wait. It’s a great place to people watch as they walk past the large fountain of Poseidon.

La Strada

In 2019, The ROW Reno’s La Strada made Food Network’s 2019 list of the “Best Pastas in the Country” for its mushroom ravioli. It. Is. So. Good. It has an elegant ambiance, but it’s still approachable. I also recommend the calamari because it’s crispy and delicious. I’m salivating just thinking about it. Finally, don’t miss the dessert menu full of cannolis and tiramisu.

Until my next visit to The ROW Reno, here goes nothing.
