The complete Smile Brilliant Teeth Whitening Kit comes straight to your house. It comes with impression trays and three sets of impression material, which is sort of like putty or clay. This was by far the most challenging part of the whole process. It wasn’t the act of putting the clay in the impression trays, but rather my gag reflex. Not to get too graphic, but having the impression molds in my mouth gave me a flashback to getting molds at the orthodontist and drooling everywhere. Yup, real cute.
So, do your molds when you’re home alone or only around someone who really won’t judge you. You let the molds set for a few hours and then send back to the Smile Brilliant Lab in the pre-paid packaging.
Step 2: Recieve Your Custom Whitening Trays and Start Whitening
I received my custom Smile Brilliant teeth whitening trays in just a matter of days. It was such an efficient process! The look like Invisalign molds–clear, soft and clearly customized to my teeth down to the permanent retainer I have on the inside of my lower teeth.
You simply open a syringe of teeth whitening gel and place it into your upper and lower trays. You wear the trays in your mouth for 45 minutes to an hour when you start, and they say you can go up to three hours in a session. I was asked to do 7-14 sessions to see results.
My Experience with Smile Brilliant Teeth Whitening
I was, admittedly, not as consistent as I would have liked. On average, I probably snuck an hour of whitening in every three days over the course of a month. Between travel, my social life and the fact that the ideal whitening time is before bed, I found it difficult to fit it in a daily routine and see super fast results (though you totally could).
