Why I Love to Stay at The Renaissance Hotel in Reno, Nevada

If you’re looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay in Reno, NV, The Renaissance Reno Hotel and Spa is an amazing casino-free property in the downtown neighborhood. My husband and I have stayed here multiple times, and it’s one of our favorite places for a staycation. We even stayed there during our wedding weekend in one of the Penthouse suites, and it was well-worth the treat on such a special occasion.

Where Is The Renaissance Reno Hotel and Spa Located?

This Marriott hotel’s convenient location in downtown Reno makes it easy to explore the city’s food, bars, and nightlife. We love walking to the Riverwalk District to enjoy the stroll along the Truckee River and grab dinner at spots like Smith & River or coffee at Cafe Capello.

What Are The Rooms Like?

The spacious rooms at The Renaissance Hotel are always clean and beautifully decorated with modern furnishings. We especially love the comfortable beds and the soft linens. Oh, and the giant bathtubs that very comfortably fit my plus size body. I always bring a few bath bombs when I visit. The room amenities, such as the mini-fridge, coffee maker, and flat-screen TV with cable channels, make our stay even more comfortable.

And How Are the Spa and Pool at The Renaissance Reno?

The hotel has a great range of facilities that we always take advantage of during our stays. The fitness center is well-equipped, and the outdoor pool and hot tub are perfect for relaxing (though I’ve never had the chance to try them for myself because we always seem to stay in off-season). We’ve also enjoyed the on-site spa, which offers a variety of treatments and massages. (Jared loved the sensory deprivation tank.) It’s a great way to pamper ourselves during our staycation.

The Shore Room Restaurant

The hotel’s on-site restaurant, The Shore Room, is one of our favorites in Reno, especially for brunch. It’s branded as “Mediterranean” but it really feels more eclectic than that. We’ve enjoyed breakfast, lunch, and dinner there, and I’ve never been disappointed. In the summer, you definitely want to sit on the patio! The bar and lounge area is also a great spot for a drink or a snack.

Overall, The Renaissance Hotel in Reno, NV, is an excellent choice for a luxurious and comfortable stay. The convenient location, spacious rooms, friendly staff, and delicious dining make it our favorite place to staycation in Reno.
