Best Walls and Murals in Boston

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, I’ve never met a colored wall I didn’t like. My current hometown of Boston is full of them if you know where to look. This list will continued to be updated as I discover more hidden gems.

Fenway Mural

This mural (seen in the main photo) lives just steps away from Fenway Park and what I love most about it is, depending how you shoot it, it can look like many different murals.

LocationIpswich St. near Lucky Strike and Loretta’s Last Call

Green Wall at Boston University

This is no Paul Smith wall, but this green wall is a great hidden location for a simple colorful backdrop. It’s also on a nice back street with minimal foot and car traffic, making it easy to photograph on.

LocationCunningham Mall on the BU campus near Beacon St.

Pattered Behavior Murals on the Esplanade

These murals located along The Charles River. A lot like the Fenway mural, this one location offers up a lot of varying backgrounds full of color and patterns. It’s got a very whimsical, Dr. Seuss vibe. According to this Boston Globe article, the mural will be up for a year with the opportunity for renewal in September 2018.

Location: Dr. Paul Dudley White Bike Path, west of Mass Ave.

Underground at InkBlock

These murals are located in the South End of Boston near SoWa and Whole Foods under the freeway. Underground at InkBlock is a defined as a place that not only celebrates creative thinkers, but is programmed and curated by the artists themselves. This is a bit of a one-stop shop with murals by several artists all with different vibes.
