Parade Underwear Review – Sizing & Quality

parade underwear review

I first found out about Parade, a size-inclusive underwear brand, when it was running through the influencer community with rave reviews. When Parade reached out, I was excited to try the brightly colored briefs for myself. Today, I get to bring you a Parade underwear review.

What Is Parade?

Parade isn’t your average underwear brand. They are dedicated to sustainability and sex education. They donate 1% of their sales to Planned Parenthood. Their underwear is made of soft, breathable, and recycled fabrics that are good for your body and the environment. Their primary fabric, Replay, is made of 85% recycled polyamide and are free of harmful chemicals that pollute your skin and our waters.

Parade is also inclusive, trading typical ideas of sexy that are perpetuated by brands like Victoria’s Secret for something more real.

In their manifesto, they say:

For too long, underwear has been about restricting sexiness to a flat pink surface, but now we know that’s just one glint in the sea of womanhood. Sexiness isn’t one-dimensional—it’s a voice, it’s a feeling, it’s a technicolor mirror that reflects whoever is holding it.

Parade Manifesto

They stand for values I can get behind, which I was excited to work with them.

Parade Size Chart

Parade underwear is size-inclusive, going up to a 3X (my size). After mixing in a pair of Parade boyshorts and Parade brief to my weekly rotation, I’m also glad to report that the fit doesn’t dig into your skin. The waistband, which they call FreeStretch, is engineered with sport-inspired performance stretch, to fit a much wider range of bodies comfortably.

I found the Parade sizing true to the size chart.

Fit-wise, I do wish the high-waisted Parade Underwear sat a little higher on my stomach. But the cut itself is so comfortable and the fabric doesn’t cause major visible panty lines. I also found that because I’m on the curvier side of the 3X measurements, the brief waistline does roll down a bit. Because it doesn’t dig, it’s not super annoying, but it’s also not ideal.

All that said, there is definitely room for improvement when it comes to expanding their sizes to include more plus size women. If Parade doesn’t carry your size, let them know! I grabbed this info directly from Parade’s FAQs:

If you have any feedback about the fit of our currently offered sizes or ideas on how we can make the best product for you, please send us an email at hi@yourparade.com with the subject line “Expanded Sizing.”

Here’s My Parade Plus Size Underwear Review

All in all, I really liked Parade’s brief and boyshort for lazy Saturday mornings, lounging around the house. The material is so soft and comfortable. They are the only pairs of underwear I own that kind of feel like not wearing underwear at all. I look forward to them expanding their sizes, so more women can wear them!
