Tips for Planning Your Next Trip
- Consider your interests and what you want to experience on your trip. Do you want to relax on a beach, explore a bustling city, or hike through the mountains? And don’t forget to consider what your travel companion wants to do, too!
- Look at your budget and choose a destination that fits. Don’t forget to consider the costs of things like food, rental cars, admission to attractions, and more. Remember, there are plenty of cities and attractions within your own home state if you look.
- Consider traveling midweek or in the off-season to avoid large crowds and save on hotel costs.
- Check the weather and peak tourist season for your desired destination(s) and plan accordingly. I also recommend checking out the official tourism website for your destination to check out deals and inspirations for things to do off the beaten path.
- Go search Instagram and TikTok for lesser-known restaurants, bars and things to do. That way, you’ll have a truly distinctive trip.
